As a teenager, I loved immersing myself in creative and imaginative worlds through computer games like The Sims, RollerCoaster Tycoon, and Theme Hospital. These games weren’t just entertainment—they sparked my creativity and shaped my ability to imagine new worlds and tell stories in unique ways.

When it came to choosing my academic path, I followed my passions. At college, I studied Photography, Media, and English Language, which nurtured my creativity and gave me the tools to understand storytelling from different perspectives. I then went on to university to earn a degree in Design for Digital Media, which allowed me to blend my love of technology with creativity and design. During this time, I also worked part-time in book sales at WHSmith, further deepening my appreciation for the written word and the magic of stories.

After university, I found another passion—teaching. I spent several years teaching in secondary schools and sixth form, specialising in Media, IT, Computer Science, and Graphics. I loved inspiring my students and helping them discover their own creativity and potential. Teaching gave me the chance to combine my love of technology with the joy of guiding others in their learning journey.

Now, as a cyber tutor, I’ve carried forward my passion for technology and education. Along the way, the birth of my children reignited my love of storytelling. Sharing stories with them and seeing their wonder reminded me of how powerful and personal storytelling can be.

That’s what led to the creation of Hardy Publishing in 2024. It’s the culmination of everything I love—technology, creativity, teaching, and storytelling—all coming together to help others bring their stories to life.
